Irina V. Ivanova is the author of the Figure Drawing Templates. She generated her own unique method of drawing a figure and created a new type of stylish and authentic figure drawing templates. She advanced the concept of drawing figure with templates while working as a designer, illustrator and art educator. Teaching figure drawing and creating figurative art gave her a unique perspective and understanding of the figure drawing techniques and process.
Irina received fine art and fashion design education in former Soviet Union.
Irina is trained professional in the fields of fine art and apparel ( fashion) design. Prior to college after 8 years of in-depth studies of Painting and Drawing Irina graduated with honors from the art school. By the time Irina started her college education, she already had 10 years of art education and numerous diplomas from art schools and professional art courses.
She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in the field of Industrial and Fashion Design from Vitebsk State Technological University (Vitebsk, Belarus).
Irina works as a visual artist in her home-based studio in Hallandale Beach, FL. She has held exhibits of her visual art at Mark K. Wheeler Gallery of The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale (solo art shows in 2004 and 2008). As a visual artist, she is represented by Art Visions fine art licensing agency.
As a freelance fashion illustrator, Irina illustrates fashion books.
As an Adjunct Professor of Figure Drawing, she taught at Design and Architectural Senior High School (DASH) for Miami-Dade Community College during years 2001-2003.
Starting from 2001, Irina teaches Fashion Illustration and Stylized Drawing at the Fashion Design Department of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale .
This book is a summary of years of experience in research of figure drawing, teaching creative figure drawing using templates and designing figure drawing templates themselves.
